David Borcsok

Partner

David Borcsok leads the Toronto office of Mucker Capital, where he invests in pre-seed and
seed-stage technology companies, and directs Digby Lab, the firm’s applied AI research group.
He began his tenure at Mucker as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence before joining the investment
team.

Previously, David founded Ordinary, a formation-stage and pre-seed consumer venture capital
fund that grew out of the early-stage technology investment strategy he managed at Royal Bank
of Canada. He began his career at TrilogyGrowth LP, an early-stage consumer venture capital
firm, and at Brown University’s Technology Ventures Office, where he focused on technology
commercialization. Over more than 14 years in venture capital, David has led investments in
more than 60 companies that have collectively raised billions of dollars in follow-on capital.

David is a Kauffman Fellow, a David Rockefeller Fellow of the Trilateral Commission, and a
member of the Bretton Woods Committee, the Economic Club of New York, and the Milken
Institute’s Young Leaders Circle. He also serves on the Board of Governors of the University of
Waterloo.

David holds degrees from Wilfrid Laurier University and Brown University.
