Victor Yip
Vice President, Global Mobile Business Development, Activision Blizzard
Victor is a technology and digital media executive with extensive experience delivering revenue growth and managing divisional P&Ls for world-class entertainment companies including Activision Blizzard, The Walt Disney Company, the National Basketball Association (NBA), and 20th Century Fox. He has led businesses in key digital verticals, including connected gaming, social media, sports, and streaming video. With experience and education rooted in North America, Victor has spearheaded numerous high-growth international assignments with Disney and the NBA, including eight years of on-the-ground track record and network in the Asia Pacific region.
Victor’s experience has revolved around building and leading startup businesses for some of the most established brands in the media and entertainment space. As an early example, he was one of Disney’s first digital boots-on-the-ground in China where he wrote the business strategy, developed the product plan, and eventually grew and led a multi-million dollar business in monetizing Disney content in social media and online gaming. Subsequently at the NBA, Victor launched the league’s digital presence in Greater China through streaming live games, mobile gaming, and social media, and grew the division to be the league’s largest digital revenue generator outside of the US.
Victor is currently Vice President, Global Mobile Business Development at Activision Blizzard, where he leads all new mobile partnerships across the company’s portfolio of industry leading game franchises including Call of Duty, Warcraft, Overwatch, Diablo, and Candy Crush.
His experiences earlier on in his career include international business development and strategy roles at technology startups, and investment banking at Morgan Stanley.
Victor received his M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. degree from UC Berkeley.
