Sunil Gunderia is the Chief Innovation Officer at Age of Learning, the company behind ABCmouse, a program used by over 50 million children.
He led the development and is co-inventor of a multi-patented, AI-driven personalized mastery learning system that powers My Math Academy and My Reading Academy.
Students using these programs have demonstrated significant gains, as evidenced by 25 ESSA-aligned efficacy studies, contributing to Age of Learning being named
Most Innovative EdTech Company by the SIIA CODiE Awards.

In addition to his work in product innovation, Sunil is actively involved in shaping responsible and effective AI use.
He serves on the boards of InnovateEDU, where he supports initiatives like the EdSAFE AI Alliance, focused on establishing global guidelines and policy for safe and equitable educational AI,
and the Children’s Institute, which delivers Head Start and mental health services to underserved families in Los Angeles.

Sunil is also a mentor and advisor to technology startups, supporting the next generation of founders working at the intersection of technology and impact.
He has authored numerous papers on education and technology and was named a Top 100 EdTech Influencer by EdTech Digest.
For his contributions to the field, he received the CLN Impact Award.
Previously, Sunil was General Manager at The Walt Disney Company, where he launched and led Disney Mobile in Europe.
He holds degrees from the University of Georgia and an M.B.A. from the University of Southern California.
