Beau Laskey

Managing Director, SVB Capital

Beau Laskey is a Managing Director with SVB Capital and is responsible for sourcing and executing direct venture capital and private equity investments. Beau has spent the last 15 years in technology, finance and operational leadership roles where he focused on media, technology and consumer internet investment opportunities. Prior to joining SVB, Beau was a Managing Director with Steamboat Ventures, The Walt Disney Company’s venture capital investment group. Earlier in his career, he was a Managing Director of EDF Ventures in San Diego, an early stage venture capital fund. A few of his key investments are Arbor Networks, GoPro, Greenplum, Photobucket, Sometrics and Zyray Wireless. Beau started his career as an officer in the SEAL Teams and deployed around the globe with several SEAL Teams. Beau received a BS in Economics and General Engineering with Merit as a graduate of the US Naval Academy, and received an MBA with Distinction in Entrepreneurship and Corporate Strategy from The University of Michigan Business School. Beau and his wife have three children that are avid skiers and sports enthusiasts. In his effort to help those that have served others, Beau is a supporter and committee member of the Navy SEAL Foundation and The Mission Continues.
